How to Make Correct Decisions Using Your Human Design: Self-Projected Authority

In part four of our Authority article series, “How to Make Correct Decisions Using Your Human Design,” we are dealing with 2-3% of the world population who are Projectors guided by their Higher Self, the core of their Identity.

Self-Projected Authority is a very very powerful voice of identity that is there to express itself in reaction to invitation. Without the invitation, there’s nothing to say. Without the invitation, there’s nothing to hear. Without the invitation, there can be no decision.

In case you missed your Authority, the earlier articles in this series cover the Authority hierarchy and why the mind is not it, Emotional Authority, Sacral Authority, and Splenic Authority.

If you are someone who has a yellow diamond colored in at the center of the bodygraph, and all of the centers below are white, then this article is most especially for you (and the people who want to support your awakening). Approximately 2-3 of every 100 people have the G Center as their Authority - automatically this means you are a Projector.

What is a Projector?

A Projector is someone who is designed to see the big picture and is here to recognize, be acknowledged and invited to share their Guidance with others. They have a unique style of leadership, with their true power shining in dealings with others one-on-one.

All Projectors are deeply susceptible to conditioning from the energy of the world we live in. We are the only Type that is designed to be conditioned - the only Type that penetrates into the core of another being. It’s how we get our ability to really know the other. Like all Projectors, the biggest clue for you to know if you are following your Authority successfully is - are you experiencing success or bitterness more often than not?

Locked into relationships, jobs, commitments and places that are not in alignment with what you are as a being can be disturbing to you, and the Projector bitterness shows up as being deeply unhappy, even resentful. Without the respect and inquiry from the beings you are interacting with, your words usually fall on deaf ears, are taken out of context, misunderstood or not acknowledged or at best, received and followed successfully yet without you being attributed or rewarded with recognition for your wisdom.

Self-Projected Projectors

In the case of a Self-Projected Projector, the channels that define your Authority creates a very strong identity that you are here embody. Your decision-making process originates out of the G-Center itself, you have a clearly defined Higher Self that shines through you. The other centers above could be defined or not, and there is a vital key to know in being your own Authority:

Whatever you need to know you can discover by hearing what you say in reaction to an invitation from another.

You have a very distinct part you are here to play for those who are for you. The simple words that come out of your mouth spontaneously according to the invitation (not planning in advance what you’ll say to try and get what you think you want) are your Truth.

One of the things to note is that these channels connecting the G-Center can be sensitive to criticism. So, long ago as a child, you may have experienced rejection of your Authentic voice and learned to ignore it for more accepted ways of making decisions, like “thinking it over.” But you cannot afford to ignore what you hear yourself say in response to invitation, as that is the only way you can make decisions that you trust in this life.

Each channel connected to the throat has a very particular thematic, a very specific voice of self-expression. To help you know yours, here are the channels and their voices:

The Channel of Awakening - A Design of Commitment to Higher Principles

Your authentic nature speaks with the Individual voice of “I am” with the recognition of the circumstance at the moment that speaks for you, being yourself–and in that way influencing others in a way that you may (or more often) may not recognize.

The Channel of the Alpha - A Design of Leadership (for good or bad)

Your authentic nature speaks as the Collective voice of “I lead” with the recognition of the logical patterns and the ability to project those patterns into the future to lead others - but only when you are invited to share your leadership and it is correct for you to do so.

The Channel of Inspiration - A Design of a Creative Role Model

Your authentic nature speaks as the Individual voice of “I know” with the recognition of self-empowerment and knowing that you can make a contribution that can empower others with your knowing - but only when you are invited, and it is correct for you to express your knowing.

The Channel of the Prodigal - A Design of a Witness

Your authentic nature speaks as the Collective voice of “I remember” with the recognition of the cycles of experience and the ability to store memory and learn from the past in leading others - but only when you are invited to share your experiences and it is correct for you to do so.

These last three channels have a transcendent value that goes beyond just you and the other, as they’re able to be recognized for their role in a group of 3-5 beings, which creates a trans-auric form called Penta. The Penta is the driving force in our world. Those who have these channels carry the responsibility of leadership in the Penta and are designed to have influence, impact and affect those in alignment to you.

The nature of your Truth is that it is always expressed via the core of your identity in one of these four ways, and it means you absolutely must honor your authentic voice. If you do not, then you dishonor your own nature and abandon your own truth, as well as your ability to succeed in the role you are here to play. Pay attention to what you hear yourself say when others invite you to speak!

Trust Your Higher Self

As a Self-Projected Projector, the authentic words you utter in that moment are an expression of your identity, relative to the other person and the circumstances you find yourself in.

You are a source of direction for other people who recognize your ability to Guide them. You yourself can only hear your own guidance, however, when you listen for what you are saying about whether or not something or someone can make you happy, whether a decision or a direction is right for you. Wait for correct timing that can allow your self-expression which is designed to give you your authentic flavor of success.

You have to respect yourself in this manner of listening to what you say and ignore anything your mind says about you to yourself or premeditated to say to the other. Your truth emerges through recognition and invitation, and when you abide by your Higher Self, your life can be transformed. Watch the bitterness melt away as you trust in your Strategy of invitation through correct recognition that your perfect life as a Projector is just waiting for you to speak in alignment with the unique being that you are. Only then will you be able to fulfill your innate potential.

You are Designed Perfectly

Remember that the core benefit of Human Design is to help you to be you by taking away authority from your conditioned mind and putting it where it belongs - with your form.

A common question newcomers ask: Is there an advantage to having this or that kind of definition, Type or Authority? There is no such thing as a more advantageous design, as every single one of us are given precisely the perfect what we need to live the life that perfectly fulfills us. Challenges are inherent in all of our designs, but understanding the dilemmas inherent in your design while armed with the knowledge of your Strategy and Authority helps you face those challenges with confidence. You are designed perfectly for your process, which is why it is so important for you to navigate through life correctly and live out your authentic nature.

Experiment with following your Strategy of waiting to be recognized and invited, and honoring your authentic voice to make decisions. Then watch as the magic of your success as a being grows, sweetening your life while the sour taste in your mouth from operating incorrectly becomes a distant memory.
