Angels, Aliens, and the Mechanics of Transferred Motivation
What Ra taught about rogue crystal bundles: why the non-physical wears six familiar costumes, and how transferred motivation is the hook that lets an encounter pull your authority outside of you.
People confess these things quietly. An angel who watches over them. An entity they channel. A ghost that will not leave the house. They lower their voice because they know how it sounds, and yet the experiences feel absolutely real. Human Design has a mechanical explanation, one with far less to do with the visitor than with the motivation of the person being visited.
Ra taught that when we die, the personality crystal has two possible destinations. It can return to the original source bundle it came from, or be picked up by what he called a rogue crystal bundle. Understanding what those rogue bundles actually are is where this subject stops being spooky and starts being useful.
The Bundles, Briefly
I wrote a full grounding of this cosmology in what Human Design teaches about angels, aliens, and ghosts, so here is the short version. A rogue crystal bundle is a cluster of disincarnate personality crystals, grouped purely by frequency: no body, no brain, no hardware left to run the software. They filter the neutrino ocean just as we do, and they can impact exactly one being at a time, only from within the aura. And there are no angel bundles, demon bundles, or alien bundles. Strip the labels away and every bundle is the same accumulated human material, with no identity of its own. We supply the costume, and Ra said your interpretation of the bundle tells you more about you than it ever tells you about the bundle.
What that earlier article did not cover is the question this video answers: why does one person meet an angel and another meet an alien? The answer lives in motivation.
The Hook Is Transferred Motivation
So which filter shows up? That comes down to motivation, the color level of the personality. There are six motivations: fear, hope, desire, need, guilt, and innocence. When color destabilizes, it transfers to its partner: one to four, two to five, three to six, and back again. Transferred motivation lacks cognition. Ra’s words for it were dumb or blind: blind fear, blind hope, blind desire, blind need, blind guilt, blind innocence.
That blindness is the frequency these bundles attune to. Ra assumed transference is the stronger pull, because a transferred person has already handed their trust to something outside themselves. The not-self keeps the flywheel spinning: transferred, you become attractive to exactly these forces.
Who Meets What
Each transfer pairs with one of the six costumes, and each has a correct expression that looks nothing like the blind one.
The need-motivated four, transferred into blind fear, meets angels: I cannot trust myself, so the angel must protect me, and the obsession only deepens the fear. Correct first color digs underneath things and resolves fear through investigation. The fear-motivated one, transferred into blind need, meets gods: the street prophet who must be the mouthpiece. Correct fourth color masters exactly what is necessary, no more and no less. The guilt-motivated five, transferred into blind hope, meets demons: I hope it all works out, whispered in place of the responsibility to act. The hope-motivated two, transferred into blind guilt, meets entities: guilty about things that were never theirs, compelled to channel and get the word out, when correct second color can simply discern and wait. The innocence-motivated six, transferred into blind desire, meets ghosts: haunted by past mistakes, the false leader who cannot face their own history. And the desire-motivated three, transferred into blind innocence, meets aliens: I am a walk-in, this is not my planet, spoken by someone built for the material plane who then does nothing. Ra himself joked that we were all aliens, and named it for what it was.
What Every Costume Costs You
Whatever the label, the effect is identical: authority moves outside of you. Ra said these bundles take your authority away, mechanically, with no malice involved. They are part of the program, and they only show up where the being is already in weakness: the not-self, the openness of the design with no planetary activations. Now you pray to the angel, obey the demon, channel the entity, and your own authoritative process goes quiet.
The encouraging part is the same experiment as always: someone who experiments with their strategy and authority, whose motivation stabilizes into its true color, stops broadcasting the transferred frequency. Ra suspected the two who once channeled an entity would find, in alignment, that the connection is simply gone, and no longer want it.
Reading an Encounter in a Chart
Here is where it becomes practical. When someone describes an encounter, observe first and stay inquisitive rather than telling them what happened. Look at their design, their openness, their transference. A first color personality who says they met the gods has just shown you their transference into blind need. The encounter is a signpost, like Saturn’s pressure: blind, blinded, not awake. And there is an open question Ra found fascinating: since these frequencies express loudly only through the not-self, we barely know what aligned communion with the non-physical would even look like. If you ever find a public example, I would love to see the chart.
Motivation sits deep in the substructure, underneath the lines of your profile, so start where the experiment always starts. You can run your own chart at our free chart tool, and if this layer of the mechanics calls to you, the long unwinding of the not-self begins with deconditioning.
