Embracing Transformation: The Rise of Individual Empowerment

Transformation requires a kind of death before rebirth. That’s the frame I want to open with, because the shift I’m describing here is already underway, not some future event to brace for. The old systems built to hold humanity together for the last four hundred years, governments, institutions, tribal structures, are dissolving in real time, not on a future date.

The Cross of Planning Is Ending

From 1615 to 2027, we’ve been living inside what Ra called the cross of planning: institutions, strategy, the current monetary and banking system, and tribal or communal support structures including fundamentalism, communism, and socialism. Those structures came to a head, and they’re in their last throes now, the dying gasps of a way of organizing human life that’s genuinely coming apart. The banking system itself traces back to 1615, when this global cycle began, and that four-hundred-year backbone engineered to keep humanity working together is ending, not gradually fading but actively closing.

What follows 1615-2027 is a different cross entirely: a sixth-line cross of the sleeping phoenix on the rise, abundance, and great disguise. The image is deliberate. For the phoenix to rise, the old form has to go up in flames first. That’s not a metaphor I’m reaching for to make the transition sound poetic. It’s the actual mechanic of how this shift plays out: what gave people a sense of security, structurally, is what has to fall away before something new and more individually sovereign can take its place.

The Plutonic Interregnum

Ra named the transitional zone between these two eras the plutonic interregnum, a rare period governed by Pluto, the planet of death, transformation, and truth. Pluto is currently transiting Gate 41, the start codon in our genetics, marking the transitional period at the close of the cross of planning cycle. This is the liminal space we’re living inside right now, one foot still in the old strategic world, one foot already over the threshold into something that doesn’t fully resemble it yet.

Part of what’s emerging in this window is a new expression of consciousness Ra called rave: a fully nine-centered human being, distinct from the seven-centered model that dominated for roughly ninety thousand years. Not everyone born in this window will express it the same way, and the full mutation doesn’t complete overnight. But the precursors are visible now, in people whose way of processing and communicating doesn’t rely as heavily on words, in patterns of connection that look more telepathic than verbal. The shift toward this fuller nine-centered expression is a genetic and evolutionary mutation, not just a cultural one.

From Tribal Bargains to Individual Sovereignty

The old tribal model ran on bargains and negotiations: you do this for me, I do that for you, with the implicit threat of exclusion if you didn’t hold up your end. That structure is what’s crumbling. What replaces it is an era built around individual sovereignty, not a new tribe with different rules, where self-empowerment comes from honoring your own individuality rather than outsourcing your authority to an external structure, whether that’s a government, an employer, a religious institution, or even a well-meaning family system.

This is also why strategic awareness on its own, useful as it was for centuries, isn’t enough anymore. Ra himself was a strategic being, with Personality arrows facing left, and that orientation, hyper-focused specialization, drilling into detail, exploiting a narrow area of expertise, defined the era of specialization that began in the 1960s inside the cross of planning. The era ahead calls for something different: people who can stand in their own truth, embody it rather than argue for it, and sense what’s correct through their body’s own signals rather than through accumulated external expertise.

Spirit as the New Currency

One of the more concrete reframes in this shift is around money. Money is simply an exchange of value, and the currency underneath that exchange is increasingly energy and spirit, not accumulation for its own sake. The freest person isn’t necessarily the one with the most money; often the more someone accumulates, the more obligations tie them down. What actually indicates alignment is whether you’re living the specific keynote of your own Type, not a number in a bank account: sweet success for the Generator, the recognition of a job well done for the Projector, the peace of an initiation rightly timed for the Manifestor, the surprise and wonder of witnessing correctly for the Reflector.

I’ve lived both sides of that equation. I went through the 2008 real estate crash and lost everything, multiple properties, my business, all of it, and rebuilt from a place of feeling completely beaten down. Years later, when the world shut down in 2020, days before I closed on a house, and everyone around me panicked about how anyone would pay their mortgage, my business actually grew, because the work itself was already built to operate online and rooted in inner truth. Alignment doesn’t guarantee an easy road. It changes what happens when the road gets hard.

Signposts of Being Off Track

There’s a simple diagnostic I return to often: if you’re frustrated, bitter, angry, or constantly disappointed, that’s a signpost you’re off track, not a personality trait to manage around. Chronic complaining, shaming, guilting, and regretting are usually the mind cycling, trying to think its way out of a situation the body already knows how to navigate differently. That doesn’t mean difficult periods don’t happen. It means the emotional tone of chronic misalignment is distinguishable from the emotional tone of a hard season lived correctly.

There’s also a specific role certain people are built to carry through this transition. Anyone with strong sixth-line definition in their natal design, in particular, tends to be seen and looked to as a role model during this kind of shift, walking their talk in a way others notice and orient around. If you don’t carry those specific gate activations yourself, that’s not a deficiency. Ra was explicit that everyone has everything in the design; what differs is which parts are hardwired versus conditioned, and true nine-centered maturity doesn’t fully land until around age fifty, at the Chiron return.

What’s Actually Loosening

Some of what’s shifting is structural in a very literal sense. Remote and hybrid work have already moved a meaningful share of the workforce away from full-time office dependency, roughly a third of employees working some hybrid arrangement as of this shift, with the trajectory continuing to grow. That’s a small, measurable piece of a much larger loosening: the channel connecting Gate 49 and Gate 19 in the solar plexus, the channel of synthesis, is described as part of what’s mutating in this transition, moving people from a tribal orientation toward a more individual one. People carrying that channel today aren’t doing anything wrong; the mutation plays out gradually, largely in generations born after this shift completes.

Logic itself, at least the specific kind tied to certain gate combinations, is described as carrying less weight for people born into the new cycle than it did under the cross of planning. Again, this isn’t a verdict on anyone currently alive with that wiring, just a description of where the emphasis moves as the broader cycle turns over.

Decentralization Isn’t Just About Money

Part of what’s dissolving alongside institutions and tribal bargains is the old model of enforceable contracts, the promise that if you did your part, the other side would hold up theirs. That model is breaking down visibly enough that most people have watched it happen firsthand, an agreement made and then abruptly abandoned once it stopped being convenient for the other party. What’s replacing it is a shift toward common sense and direct authenticity as the actual currency of trust, not a better contract, along with a broader move toward decentralization itself, of which the rise of cryptocurrency and the idea of becoming your own bank is one visible expression. Whether or not that particular technology is the one that lasts, the underlying pattern, less dependence on centralized guarantees, more capacity to hold your own resources and your own authority directly, is the same pattern running through every other part of this shift.

Read Your Own Magic Square

One of the tools I use with people navigating this transition is the magic square, the layer of the chart beneath type and authority that shows where your awareness is naturally focused: your internal process, your outer authority, the way you express what you know, and how you protect it once it’s out in the world. Most people never look past their Type and Strategy long enough to find this layer, and that’s fine as a starting point. But as you decondition, you’ll likely notice your own focus shifting in ways that surprise you: something that used to fascinate you stops holding your attention, or a subject you never cared about suddenly becomes essential. That’s your resonant frequency correcting course, not inconsistency, as the conditioning that used to run your attention loosens its grip.

Living Through It Without Rushing

The most practical thing I can offer here is also the least dramatic: don’t hurry, and don’t panic. This shift unfolds over roughly a hundred years past 2027, not overnight, and the signs of it are already visible if you know where to look. What’s asked of any one person is a willingness to keep experimenting with Strategy and Authority as your actual operating system, not mastery of the whole mechanism, letting go of institutional certainty in favor of trusting your own design, one decision at a time.
