The Plutonic Interregnum: What the Space Between Two Doors Actually Means

I’ve already written about the pattern of dates around Pluto and Gate 41, the doorway that keeps showing up every time this planet does something significant in our chart. But a pattern of dates only tells you where the doors are. It doesn’t tell you what’s happening in the room between them. That room is what Ra Uru Hu called the Plutonic Interregnum, and it’s worth sitting with on its own terms, because it’s not really about the endpoints. It’s about the pressure building in the middle.

What an Interregnum Actually Is

An interregnum, in the ordinary sense, is the gap between one ruler and the next: the old authority has stepped down and the new one hasn’t fully taken the throne. Ra used the word deliberately. Pluto entered our awareness in 1930, and it won’t complete its return to Gate 41, our genetic start codon, until 2027. Everything in between is neither fully the old order nor fully the new one. We’re living inside that gap right now.

Ra called us Homo sapiens in transitus for exactly this reason. The seven centered human being, built for self reflective consciousness and the slow climb of energy up toward the head, stopped being born somewhere around 1781. The nine centered structure we carry now, the one every human design chart maps, doesn’t change once you’re born with it. What changes is the field around it: the background frequency, the transits, the slow mutational pressure Ra attributed to Pluto’s movement. We are the transitional form standing in the doorway, not the seven centered ancestor and not the fully realized rave that Ra taught would follow us.

The Struggle to Create a New Model

Ra kept coming back to the idea that this entire stretch, from Uranus’s discovery in 1781 through the Ides of February in 2027, is a struggle to create a new model. Not a triumphant unfolding. A struggle. He pointed to the channels involved in that timeframe, the ones tied to mating, reproduction, and creative inspiration, and read them together as exactly that: pressure toward something that has to be built because it doesn’t exist yet.

That framing matters more to me than any specific date. It explains why this era feels like a squeeze. We’re carrying the leftover weight of the seven centered world, the morality, the hierarchies, the idea that oneness comes from somewhere outside the body, while also being asked to metabolize something we don’t have language for yet. Ra taught that the human population explosion since World War II is part of the same mechanism: a wide gene pool, pushed to grow fast, so that whatever mutation is trying to emerge has enough raw material to work with. I don’t offer that as proof of anything. I offer it as the shape of the hypothesis, because that’s how Ra presented it too.

What Loosens During the Interregnum

The most concrete part of Ra’s teaching, for me, is what he said would come apart. The channel connecting community and tribal belonging, the one underneath marriage contracts and formal education as we’ve known them, doesn’t carry the same charge in a rave. You can already feel the edges of that loosening now: people building livelihoods outside institutions, learning outside classrooms, questioning contracts that used to be assumed. Ra also taught that autism sits as a precursor signal to this mutation, and that future generations will relate differently to their own bodies, down to things as basic as what they’re drawn to eat.

It’s easy to turn teaching like this into either fear or spectacle. Ra himself framed the closing of the seven centered door as a chance, right now, to break away from letting the mind run the show. That’s not a prediction about the world outside you. It’s an invitation to keep experimenting with your own strategy and authority while the larger field is unsettled, because your decision making process is the one thing in your chart that doesn’t get reshuffled by any of this.

Hypothesis, Not Prophecy

None of this is something I can verify for you, and I don’t think verification is really the point. Ra built the Plutonic Interregnum as a piece of cosmology, a way of reading a mutation too slow for any one of us to watch start to finish. I hold it the way I hold the rest of rave cosmology: as a coherent, testable frame worth studying, not a countdown to memorize and brace against. If 2027 arrives and the world looks recognizably like the world we’re in now, that doesn’t collapse the teaching. It just means the interregnum was longer, or subtler, than the ephemeris made it look.
