How the Monkey Mind Becomes a Money Mind

I could talk about a single advanced Human Design chart for weeks and still never unpack everything. So when I taught this class on turning the monkey mind into a money mind, I kept it big picture, and the big picture is this: the very openness your mind uses against you is where your income potential lives.

A quick review first. The monkey mind is the not-self monkey mind, the voice inside your head about yourself insisting you have to be something different than what you already are. Everybody has one, and you cannot get rid of it. What you can do is stop identifying with it. When you allow what moves through your openness to pass without claiming it as yours, it becomes wisdom. And wisdom, my friends, is what people will pay you for.

Your Undefined Centers Are Money Receptors

Look down at your body graph. Everyone has everything in the body graph: you have a Gate 63 even if no planet activates it in your chart. Where your design is open, you are receptive there. Ra used to say that if he could have any design, it would be complete openness, a vast expanse of receptivity. We do not want to get rid of the openness. It is precious and valuable.

The trouble is that the mind gets obsessed out in the openness and takes everything consistent in your design for granted. The undefined centers are inconsistent, and when we try to make the inconsistent consistent, they become places of soreness, wounding, and upset.

Those same undefined functions are your money receptors. Any gate activation sitting in an undefined center is a planet standing in a doorway with an outstretched hand, ready to offer something to other people. Planets are teachers. Whatever gate is activated there is teaching you about that function all life long, and once you are operating in alignment, it teaches others through you.

What the Struggle Teaches, You Can Sell

Take the heart center: roughly 65 percent of us are undefined there, including me. The not-self there feels not good enough, overcompensates, and chases achievements, accolades, and external validation to prove its worth. What do you learn from all that proving? That this life never required you to prove anything to anyone. Letting go of proving is the wisdom, and worth and worthiness become something you can guide others through.

I will give you my own example. My Gate 21 is in line three, and a 21.3 must be their own boss. Try to take control of something you have not entered into correctly and you will break your heart, and this center touches the literal heart, the gall, the stomach, the immune system. So I have learned across my lifetime to value being in control of my own stream of capitalism, my own material resources. I value being my own boss, and I teach people how to make money. No promises, but that is a conscious value I can name, and people come to me for exactly that. My totally open Ajna is the same story: LaVeena sells education, because open Ajnas are suckers for knowledge.

A Tour of the Not-Self Marketplace

Every undefined center carries a not-self theme, and every one of those themes is something the world is desperate to buy relief from. The undefined heart sells worth, worthiness, and how to earn. The undefined spleen, once you let go of the fear of tomorrow, sells safety, security, and well-being. The undefined G helps people find themselves: identity, direction, love, the proper role in right timing. The undefined Ajna lets go of pretending to be certain and gets to ask questions, learn, and sell concepts and insight. The undefined solar plexus stops avoiding confrontation and sells the pleasure of embracing truth when it is necessary. The undefined sacral learns when enough is enough and teaches leverage: tools, automation, teams, support, the things that build a big business. The open head turns confusion and doubt into inspiration, the root turns hurry into freedom from pressure, and the throat discovers that quietude is a natural state of being and you do not have to talk to be effective.

Notice the keyword in all of this: others. The gifts in your open functions are for other people, given without agenda, without manipulation, without trying to secure your own survival through them.

The Third Line Secret

Here is the key I told my class they could spend tens of thousands of dollars to learn elsewhere: the money is in your third line activations. Whatever gate activation you carry in an undefined function, go read its third line and see if it resonates.

If you carry a three in your profile (1/3, 3/5, 3/6, or 6/3), congratulations, you hit the jackpot. Third lines are here to be masters of the material plane, resonating to every one of the 64 gates either consciously or unconsciously. I am a 3/5, and my mind genuinely loves the game of making money. Generating wealth, yes. Keeping it, not so much. And as a projector I do none of it alone: leverage and teams are the way.

The Mind Does Not Get the Job

One warning before you run off to monetize your chart. Every undefined function has a little voice, and all of those voices run up into the Ajna. That is why choices are not trustworthy when they are mental. Human Design is a no-fault system, a system of awareness, and the whole game is surrendering from the thinking mind into the form. So when the screaming starts inside your head about yourself, take a breath and say “my mind thinks” instead of “I think,” because it is honestly the biggest deconditioning tool I can hand you. Your offers emerge as you experiment with your own strategy and authority, and when you serve others, your job is simply to bring them back home to theirs.
